Zero Tolerance Review

Posted: May 10, 2018 in Uncategorized

Wow.  This is one of the smoothest solid feeling folders that I have ever owned and tested.  The ball bearing design lets even a novice folding knife handler utilize it like an expert.  The handle is very rigid and provides a great grip, but I can see how it could be a bit rough on the hands of some users.  The Elmax steel blade is approximately 4 3/4″ inches and is pretty thick.  The Elmax steel is known to be a tougher more elite steel and it does certainly keep its edge better than most knives out there.  I have played with the best of the best knives and for about $175 – $200 dollars this knife is certainly one of the best bangs for the buck. I purchased mine on Amazon and opened a card so got 30 bucks off so for me this might be the best bang for the buck in my personal inventory.

Non-stick grilling tip

This is one of my favorite scotches that I have ever had. It is a powerful punch in the mouth but if you can take the strong alcohol content it is truly delicious.

#Dram 76 – The Glenlivet Nådurra 16

I love this whisky. I love it. I really do. What I love even more is the Nådurra Olorosso but we’ll get into that in another post. I had the pleasure of having the original bottling of Nådurra about 10 years ago. Me and a friend polished off over a weekend’s camping trip. It was perfect. We sat there around a fire getting stoned and enjoying great whisky under the stars. I have been in love with this whisky since then.

Anyway, moving forward, I received the Nådurra 16 as a gift last year from a girl trying to win my heart (She succeeded) and I was impressed with her choice. I didn’t waste any time in opening the bottle. This baby was matured in first fill american oak casks (48%). On the nose this whisky knocks you for six. It’s richness blows you…

Great bang for the buck. Around $40 bucks for a tasty refined 12-year old Speyside Scotch.

I just came across this T-shirt online. It is too funny. It costs about $30 bucks on http://skreened.com/glamfoxx/exercise-for-bacon. I definitely need to purchase some of these.

Very neat self defense video.

Knowing the basics is important, otherwise you look like a fool ordering a bottle of wine! That first date, first impression you want to make will be mastered with these easy rules.

– Know that Merlot is a red wine: I had a table recently ask “We would like  a bottle of white wine, Merlot Please?” The girl he was with looked at him a laughed, “you mean red sweetie?” “Ya Ya red” like he knew what he was talking about. Like any server, I looked at this as opportunity. I then proceeded to sell him on the most expensive bottle of Merlot that we had, he would have bought anything to make up for the embarrassment!!!

– Common delicious red’s are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Malbec, and Chianti

– Common White Wines are: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Semillon

What you should expect from us

Posted: November 20, 2013 in Uncategorized

How will it be shared? In the beginning you can expect mostly blogs and images of what we decide to discuss. With the addition of videos probably later.

In Terms of Content: Even though we have not planned out a schedule of our future postings here is what you can expect: Immediate reviews of firearms, gear, beer, technology, scotch/bourbon, weight training and music. I think we will start with broad categories, such as the different regions of where scotch comes from, and then build the category with scotch reviews of those regions. Same can be said for all other categories. It will be easiest for us to get what we already know and love on the site first and then explore the different categories we think will be fun and worthy of sharing.

Please also understand that neither of us are English majors and there most likely will be grammatical errors. We hope this will make us better writers, but umm deal with it!

Mission Statement: Man Relm

Our mission as founders of the ManRelm is to host a site of broad knowledge compiled for the use and benefit of men everywhere.   In most cases we may not be the creators or inventors of the knowledge but we have used it to our benefit and enjoyment and think it should be passed on. We will share our findings through blogs/articles, images and videos. A sample of the categories we will delve into include: Technology, Beverages, Knives, Watches, Firearms, Vitamins, Automobiles, Clothes, and Music. We will not limit ourselves to only reviews but also discuss conceptual ideas within a topic. In the beginning we ask you to be patient as the site grows. We are doing this as a hobby to start and have full time jobs on the side. Unless otherwise stated anything that we review/discuss we will have used, imbibed, experimented with or whatever. This will lead to more accurate information and give us an excuse to give our significant others when we spend money on cool stuff to test and review. Reading back on this, it sounds awful serious, especially for being written at 11:44pm. The full intention of this endeavor is to share manly stuff, laugh and be happy….Oh and get rich of course. Men, we will do our best to keep you manly in this wimpy world!
